The Director of Foreign Relations at the Libyan Centre for Research and Studies participated in the Young Scientists Congress, held in Sochi, Russian Federation, from November 26–28, 2025, representing Libya as the first Libyan participant within an international delegation of leading researchers, experts, and decision-makers from various countries.
The congress officially opened on the morning of November 26 with speeches by several scientific leaders and representatives of international institutions supporting cooperation programs in science and technology. The event brought together approximately 200 participants, including scientists, experts, heads of research centers, young researchers, and representatives of higher education institutions.

The scientific sessions of the congress addressed recent developments in research and modern technologies, highlighting the role of youth in developing innovative and knowledge-based solutions. The sessions also provided a broad platform to explore international research experiences and build collaborative bridges with leading universities and research centers. Discussions focused on future scientific transformations, priorities in human capacity building, and the role of innovation in achieving sustainable development.
The accompanying program included a comprehensive science and technology exhibition at the Sirius Centre for Science and Technology, featuring projects and scientific initiatives under one roof. The exhibition showcased university facilities, specialized laboratories presenting cutting-edge techniques and research experiments, as well as institutions and institutes dedicated to developing modern innovations and technologies. Interactive exhibition halls allowed participants to closely explore practical models, research development mechanisms, and initiatives supporting youth in scientific and technological fields.
The participation of the Libyan Centre for Research and Studies in this international event aims to enhance the presence of Libyan youth in scientific forums, reaffirm their commitment to contributing to knowledge development, expanding research collaboration opportunities, and supporting national efforts to advance scientific research and innovation.
