The Libyan Center for Research and Studies participates in the 11th edition of the “Mediterranean Dialogues” international conference.

The head of the Libyan Center for Research and Studies participated in the 11th edition of the “Mediterranean Dialogues” international conference, held in Naples, Italy, from October 15 to 17. The conference was organized by the Italian Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI).
The conference focused on discussing a number of current regional and international issues, most notably the war on Gaza and the situations in Syria, Lebanon, and Libya, as well as energy issues in the Mediterranean, climate change, transportation, investments, and communications between the two shores of the Mediterranean.
The conference witnessed widespread participation from hundreds of academics, government officials, experts, journalists, activists, and those interested in Mediterranean affairs, making it an important platform for dialogue and exchange of views on common challenges and opportunities for cooperation in the region.
During the conference, the Center’s President met with a number of prominent international and academic figures, including:
- Mr. Christopher Cutajar, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of the Republic of Malta,
- Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Zayed, Director General of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina,
- Professor Gilbert Achcar, Professor of Development Studies and International Relations at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London,
- Dr. Tim Eaton, Senior Research Fellow and Head of the Middle East and North Africa Program at Chatham House, London.
