Tunisia’s hidden reward: to live the revolution and recount it.
This book is part of the Center’s publications—specifically, the third volume in its translated works series—and is titled Tunisia’s Hidden Metaphors: Living and Narrating the Revolution. Authored by Dr. Vasily Kuznetsov of the Institute of Oriental Studies in Moscow, the medium-sized volume spans 482 pages and was translated from Russian. The author divides the work into three chapters, examining the social and political transformations in Tunisia between 2008 and 2017. It places significant emphasis on the Tunisian Revolution—its trajectory and the events that sparked the Arab Spring uprisings. Dr. Kuznetsov is considered a leading Russian researcher specializing in Tunisian affairs. The book will be available to readers in Libya during the Public Prosecution International Book Fair in Tripoli this coming October.
